Re-listening to this interview with B C Manjunath, fully taking in his answer to @xg's queston about whether konnakol could be formalised in code.. He basically says any computer sound can be formalised in konnakol but not vice-versa, because the body is a much more advanced system for thinking about sound than any computer.

@yaxu That was a great talk. I just revisited the answer (and the performance) and really liked the idea of setting new rules to break. It's almost a model of art. And thinking of computer systems as projections of human thought and action, it all feels quite in place. A good reminder of where to look for creativity.

^^^ If programmers don't take this kind of point onboard, then they end up in a technological dead end like apple, thinking that putting much-loved culture in a hydraulic crusher is a good idea
