We need Mastodon and Mastodon clients to be able to remove the tracking tags from links. All this utm_*, fbclid, si and t really have nothing to look for here.
It's not that hard. Post a screenshot instead of their link thumbnail, and cut and paste the link without the tracking. I do it all the time, almost everything I post. Just takes a minute. I rarely just post someone else's link.

It's not just for my convenience, but because so many people sharing links without doing it out of... lack of understanding, I suppose.
