Findus Crispy Pancakes were found to contain 100% horse meat. A whole generation of British kids grew up eating horses. I feel like that should be more of a thing. Maybe that's got something to do with the UKs mental health epidemic. Mental horselth epidemic (nope that doesn't work at all). But maybe we're all sad all the time due to eating a bunch of horses by surprise. SURPRISE, MOTHERFUCKERS! You just ate a horse. How do you feel now? This is what capitalism does to families.
Ha, ha, ha! I live in country, Luxembourg, where eating horsemeat is still common (as indeed it is in Belgium and France). Personally, I prefer it to beef! Our local branch of Auchan the French supermarket chain usually has various cuts of horse on sale!
@TheBreadmonkey I was quite surprised when chatting to my Italian friend at work to discover that horse meat is really very common over there. Barbarians, init.
I'm torn on this one. I'm tempted to say..... I only eat human babies. Their flesh is much more tender.
But another, uncontrollable part of my brain compels me to answer seriously, which is not only terribly boring, it's also a cliché for a vegan to feel like they have to make a point, thereby perpetuating the endless cycle of being a bore etc. HOWEVER - this is who I am, so we must do what we must do...... I don't think it's any more or less weird for people to eat a horse than it is a cow. Or a dog from a pig. If you're going to eat rabbit and deer, why not a cat or a panda. Leopard steak and Orangutan stroganoff.
@TheBreadmonkey Oh aye, I absolutely agree. I think we only shy away from eating horse over here because they’re useful to us. If we had traditionally ridden pigs* we wouldn’t have developed such an affinity for bacon.

@TheBreadmonkey@DJDarren I only eat herbivores. Omnivores at a pinch but I've heard carnivores taste bad.
And I like to check my herbivores are actually herbivores! Not sad cows fed other cows 😢
