That KISS album -- Dynasty (1979) -- made me wish more disco had incorporated rock elements.
And disco elements were a natural for KISS not just because of the era. The other major acts on their label Casablanca (Neil Bogart, good god THERE'S a limited series waiting to happen) were Donna Summer and Village People.
