I have spent the past two hours exterminating flies.
I destroyed the source. It was rotting, oozing onions in a cabinet, that I guess we had forgotten about. There were larvae all over the place.
After removing all the sealed foods and tossing all the unsealed ones and wiping that entire disgusting mess clean, I took out an electric flyswatter and a small electric blower and blasted the thing. Created a fly and maggot vortex. They were all being blown straight into the flyswatter and being disintegrated. It was beautiful. Disgusting, but beautiful. I made an impromptu slaughterhouse out of the cabinet they were nesting in.
I probably killed at least 100 bugs today. The ones that survived will hopefully die of starvation in the next couple of days.
