benmagos, 9 months ago @krzyzanowskim found something similar when trying to match web and native text components. normalize.css sets lineHeight to 1.15. So for display in our React Native app with custom fonts I had to set the lineHeight to the fontSize * 1.15 in order for the experiences to match.
