@EtienneNadji Well, I feel stupid because this looks like an easy problem to solve.

I tried multiple times but with external content, I failed. I either corrupted the external content so that it's not of use any more or I corrupted my feed.

My current plan (for the far future) is to locate a library that may solve this issue for me. Which is not that easy because I do have a mix of handcurated strings/formats and externally generated strings/formats and feed format is some kind of weird to me.

@Roundcat That's not an issue of the technology used but a social problem.

The tech comes into the game with its possibilities to mitigate those things for the individual user as well as the admins of the local node/instance.

@publicvoit they got rid of .compact feature that was a minimal UI for mobiles. Now there’s reports of possibility losing old reddit domain because the owner wants more money on ad sales.

@firecat We all will most probably see the day when reddit will be shut down for good.

Same holds true for YouTube and other services most people take for granted.

I've warned as much as I could. People still contribute great stuff on those closed platforms instead of open ones that allow for copies, backups, decentralization, custom UIs, and so forth.
