If you need the extra #Security, something like #Signal is absolutely the way to go. But if «good #Privacy and decent security» is sufficient, I recommend #Telegram.
Why?
To me, saying people should avoid Telegram’s default server encryption is a bit like saying someone’s stupid for not wearing a helmet while driving.
I mean, there's no denying wearing a helmet is more secure! But unless you’re a race car driver, wearing "just" a seat belt is probably enough.
