A controversial push by European Union lawmakers to legally require messaging platforms to scan citizens’ private communications for child sexual abuse material could lead to millions of false positives per day, hundreds of security and privacy experts warned in an open letter Thursday.
In general this is a great thing, I mean it's helping out people.
It all depends on the trust of 'who is scanning', and not being used for other things. But comming form the state, I wouldn't be that much suspicious, after all this is not america where corporations rtule and trick people when they can.
