Lemmy search isn’t great, or I’m too new, and can’t tell if this has been posted here before.
I couldn't find a "Home Networking" community, so this seemed like the best place to post :)...
I'd probably have to go with Audiobookshelf and Kavita. Behind those would be Invidous and Immich.
Damn, this is a sad day for the homelab....
Hello there Lemmy users, I recently posted an announcement of my project on the selfhosted subreddit and I think it is a good idea to also post it here for the Lemmy users....
Not the most conventional application for self-hosting, but thought it might make for a fun weekend project for someone....
In the past few days, I've seen a number of people having trouble getting Lemmy set up on their own servers. That motivated me to create Lemmy-Easy-Deploy, a dead-simple solution to deploying Lemmy using Docker Compose under the hood....
Greetings everyone! Daniel here, I’ve been working on Linkwarden part-time over the past few months....
Homebox is the inventory and organization system built for the Home User! With a focus on simplicity and ease of use, Homebox is the perfect solution for your home inventory, organization, and management needs. While developing this project I’ve tried to keep the following principles in mind:...
Also lol
Pretty happy with how my homelab is coming along!
This is corny, but thanks for being awesome! It feels so nice to see this community grow out of a shared vision of what the internet should be....
Looking to maybe self host my own instance, I’m still learning about the fediverse. If a different instance that I federate with hosts something illegal are there risks to me? Is anything from other instances hosted on my server like a copy of it? Or would I only end up hosting things my users post? I’m paranoid and sorry if...
When launching a new Lemmy instance, your All feed will have very little populated. Also as a small instance, new communities that crop up may never make their way to you. LCS is a tool to seed communities, so your users have something in their All feed, right from the start. It tells your instance to pull the top communities...
Hi all home network administrators :) Haven’t posted anything here since June, when I told you about Gatekeeper 1.1.0. Back then it was a pretty bare-bones (and maybe slightly buggy) DNS + DHCP server with a web UI with a list of LAN clients. Back at 1.1.0 Gatekeeper didn’t even configure your LAN interface or set up NAT...
I’m excited to announce the first alpha preview of this project that I’ve been working on for the past 4 months. I’m initially posting about this in a few small communities, and hoping to get some input from early adopters and beta testers....

I’ve recently played with the idea of self hosting a LLM. I am aware that it will not reach GPT4 levels, but beeing free from restraining prompts with confidential data is very nice tool for me to have....
Hey guys, I recently bought an orange pi zero 2 and, as the title suggests, I want to put an ad blocker on it. Those are the options. I also will put openvpn for external connection to my network. Does anyone have experience with them? What would you suggest?
You might not be aware but Lemmy has RSS built into it. I just noticed myself so I wanted to check out the current state of RSS clients and well, nothing seems to be quite what I’m after....
I've never had so much fun self-hosting. A decade or so ago I was hosting things on Linode and running all kinds of servers for myself but with the rise of cloud services, I favored just giving everything to Google. I noticed how popular this community was on Reddit/Lemmy and now it's my new addiction....
