I'd like to share the project that I've worked on the past couple of weeks. I've started it after finding about how professional routers (specificaly Unifi) are managed and thinking that there should be a simalar open-source software for home networks....
EDIT: I have it working now! I had to set up DKIM and configure my server so Digital Ocean created the proper PTR records. Now email is being sent to spam but at least it's making it through!...
I have a few selfhosted services, but I'm slowly adding more. Currently, they're all in subdomains like linkding.sekoia.example etc. However, that adds DNS records to fetch and means more setup. Is there some reason I shouldn't put all my services under a single subdomain with paths (using a reverse proxy), like...
I stood up a Yunohost and installed Mastodon a few months back. I had issues with storage and exponential growth as a result of federating with other instances....
I'm considering setting up a NAS to backup my stuff and replace Google Photos. Currently I'm looking at Asustor AS6704T and Synology DS923+, with the former having more powerful hardware and hardware encoding, and the latter having a better first party software experience....
Hi, I am teacher. I want to make a tutorial site like here or svelte.dev/tutorial or vuejs.org/tutorial to teach basic html, css and javascript to my students. I am gradually moving everything to self hosted, and I want to move away from Google Photos. I currently have Nextcloud and sync seems to mostly work, but the default interface seems a bit lacking....
I am looking for something I can run on a Pi that gives me access to my private audio library plus Spotify, because I hate switching apps. I want to access it from a desktop and Android. Does someone have something like this set up?
Hey there. I have for the past year tried myself with some selfhosting of mainly a personal Nextcloud Instance. I also installed and used an RTSP-Server for Livestreaming, Traccar for Live-GPS sharing and Recording and a Paperless-NGX Server and Jellyfin. I use many of those Services daily....
I've always been conservative about what kind of services I host because it takes time to get them set up. For example, there's no reason for me to set up music streaming when I only ever listen to music on my phone and all my music files are already on my phone. On the other hand, it's a good learning opportunity to set stuff...
In the What are YOU self-hosting? thread, there are a lot of people here who are self-hosting a huge number of applications, but there's not a lot of discussion of the platform these things run on....
