Once completed, it's should bring up to 3.6GW of power to the UK (roughly the same as 5-6 #nuclear reactor's worth of power), supplying #renewable#energy for up to 8% of the country's electricity demand 🌞
@kravietz It's a private company called Xlinks that will be laying 3,800-kilometres of high voltage direct current subsea cables between Morocco and Devon in the UK to create a Morocco-UK power link.
I know, I’ve seen it in the past already. Including two rounds of sales pitch for Islay tidal power projects. These are always very much hyped, fishing for investors, but rarely actually happen.
