In a lemmy thread a few weeks ago I discussed having a unique identify on the internet. Almost everyone was against it. It looks like Sam didn't get the message.

I can’t get through the paywall so I hope I am understanding the general gist from the context. Attaching biometric data to a crypto wallet defeats its use as a private digital cash alternative.
By now the concept of crypto has evolved and moved past the original vision… I get that. It’s just not for me. I am uncomfortable with a bank’ws card precisely because of the mark that it delivers to my bank that is tied to my identity.
