Ghostalmedia, Looking at my desktop and phone’s photo library, I have the opposite feeling. I should take less screenshots and should probably use the massive bagillion megapixel camera cluster on my phone more often.
When I die, they’re going to playback an AI generated in memoriam from my photo library, and it’s going to be all screenshots and stale memes.
CIWS-30, I agree. I take a lot of screenshots, but I often don't have much time to sort them or label them, so I end up forgetting about most of them. Plus, if I count the amount of screenshots I take of games in addition to the shots I take of webpages and apps, it's too much to ever remember or go through again in my lifetime.
So if I find an old screenshot / video folder is taking up a lot of space and I also find that I don't remember what it's about and it doesn't seem important, I just flip through it real quick and then delete it if it doesn't make a strong impression on me.
Important stuff I save in the cloud, but the stuff on local disk is honestly just expendable. So is much of the stuff that's autosaved from my phone to the cloud. I have to go back and declutter that too from time to time.
