@lauren Musk is almost certainly scrambling and making sweetheart deals with mainstream advertisers (such as Netflix) right now, because those brands being there lend legitimacy to the service and help reassure other potential clients.

1: Netflix is paid for by my T-Mobile plan. Literally no direct cost for me
2: me paying for or not paying for Netflix has 0 effect on their bottom line. Heck, even if all 9,000,000+ mastodon users boycotted Netflix that’s like, a drop in the bucket for them. They gain 9m subscribers per year, they’ll be back in 12 months to where they were before.
3: I assume the fascisim comment is towards X? Read my first statement. Things can be good and bad.
