That being said, Russian government can eat my ass. They are so fucking delusional, I can feel their society is closer to collapse and hopefully their leadership all die slow painful deaths.
My understanding, and I am nothing like an expert in Russian media so salt to taste, is that Pravda is at least government affiliated, so they have a checkered history with respect to the truth but can be assumed to accurately report what it is that the government wants to project.
Totally reasonable concern, fuck Russia but Pravda does have a bit of a vested interest in their reporting to say the least. In this case they're just actually reporting what was said on a Russian propaganda outlet. Disclaimer, I know zero Russian, but a Google translate of the Russian propaganda news networks seems to confirm that Pravda is being factual and this is what Russia is saying.

It's not super clear to me how that works out. Ukraine has been pretty stable on, "All taken territory including Crimea back," so do we move to a world where Belgorod Bob assures the people that myths of Ukrainian advance are totally false daily?
