Now tonight the #Celtics get the #Sixers, which were the best team in the #NBA record-wise until last night, a little extra angry and motivated but on their second night of a back-to-back.
Overall it is as close to a must-win for the Celtics as you can get in the first dozen games of the season:
Likely playoff competitor, beat the C's last week, C's have the advantage in rest and in health (#BanCars, #Philly!) … thought it was an in-season tournament game but i guess not, still, if the Celtics can't step up against a rival that very recently beat us, it raises the specter of dropping two or three games in a row in a playoff series… that shouldn't be dropped…. again.
#Celtics without two starters defeat the #76ers in Philadelphia! Derrick White and Al Horford stand out, but Jrue Holiday also really stepped up compared to the last game here, and everybody did just enough. Quality win!
Created this bball.city account to not be online doing only organizing and tech and "c'mon people it's gotta be clear by now we need radical politics yeah?"
But.
Kelly Oubre Jr. of the Philadelphia #76ers was hit by a car, broken rib, will miss significant time from what has started as one of the #Sixers best seasons ever. It's sometimes reported that the reliance on #automobiles in the US kills more than 40,000 people a year outright. The more than five million people injured every year barely gets a mention. So it's worth making this some real news in #basketball land, as we hope for Oubre's recovery.
