@RogerBW I have always had a problem to understand the gate keeping in our small hobbies, more people means more resources and greater acceptance by the general public.
I get so mad every time I encounters it. Just because something more enters the crowd of stuff there will not be less of the existing ... arrrgh!
@GoblinQuester I fear a lot of it (across multiple hobbies) comes down to sone variant of: I have learned about this stuff, that gives me status here, and the more people care about something else the less status I have.
