My main project and first ever mosaic-panel taken during my Tuscany trip. Consisting of two panels and taken over 4 nights with my OSC (one shot color) astrocamera TS2600C, the image shows the beautiful composition of the heart and soul nebula (guess which is which 😉). M33, the Triangulum Galaxy

A spiral galaxy located approximately 2.73 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Triangulum, M33 aka the Triangulum Galaxy has a diameter of 18.74 kiloparsecs (61,100 light-years).

It forms the third galaxy in the Local Group - including the Milky Way and Andromeda of which the M33 is a satellite.

The Iris Nebula

NGC7023 aka the Iris Nebula is a reflection nebula 1300 light-years away in Cepheus, about 6 light-years across.

It's particularly impressive caught in the middle of LDN1170, the large swathes of brown dust swirling around.
