another from Cohen. if all you hear is the sex, or a thousand overplayed versions by people who don't understand it, you've stopped listening far too soon.

And even though it all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue
but hallelujah

I tried to not think too hard about this and just go with the first song that came to mind...

No thoughts. Just music.

Given that 's theme is , I've been thinking about doorway songs, not just death songs.

Although the topic is really about doorways between words, so this song doesn't really fit, with it's rather more... worldly talk about doors.

But you know, it's about death too, and the consequences of going through the wrong doors for the wrong reasons, so I think it's fine.

For this , themed , here something from the restless creativity of the polyhedric musician Dan Swano.

What if I am the dead and I could see how people remember me?

I'm going to have a very early - it is basically night here anyway, it's still dark out - because a song came to mind immediately for the topic. And I have to put it out there because it's such a great tune; I will absolutely insist that this is forever the best Hallowe'en track of all.

A bit of classic Holland-Dozier-Holland for the dark nights. This is R. Dean Taylor with There's A Ghost In My House.

I take hold of its bony fingers
I hold death in embrace for to accept death
That is to be free of fear
And we can fill the gap with love
And time just seems to disappear"

Thinking about Hallowe'en, losses and how ghosts or spirits may return with the veil is thinner. Our dead aren't gone while we remember them.
