The composer Philip Glass liked the 1946 version of Beauty and the Beast by Cocteau so much that he wrote an opera soundtrack for it meant to be sung on stage while the audience watched the film.

I've realised that I most enjoy being surrounded by those who make tools for #fandom, & who have fucking amazing ideas for fandom, & want to protect fandom & ensure its longevity. Coders, admins, archivists, historians, academics, mods, event organisers, commentators...etc...etc...
All of this is as much #fanwork as is writing or art, & I'm a fan of it. I feel more at home in this part of fandom than I ever do in a spn groupchat (not a high bar, spn fandom is a trashfire).
