"TWITTER IS OFFICIALLY dead. Last week, twitter.com became x.com, marking the final step in a rebranding effort that the company’s owner, Elon Musk, announced last year. The change marks a shift for the now birdless app under Musk’s reign, which has welcomed Nazis and white supremacists back to the platform, dissolved its Trust and Safety council, and has become a cesspool of disinformation and conspiracy."

I survived the Steam Spring Sale and all I got was 9 games. A couple impulses (Isladers), a couple recommendations (I suspect I personally won't dig Gris but I have to try), and a game I longed for back in the day (Hohokum).
I bought things that I hope I'll appreciate even if I bomb out before the second level.
Little brother has been using a 2015 macbook air family computer to play minecraft; today he tried out portal, and seemed to like it. So I've decided that I'm turning my old laptop (which was previously being used as a server PC, but I don't really need it for that any more) into a kind of steam console thingy that'll sit by the TV. Running linux on it, of course, with plasma 6, and steam big picture set to open at startup. He doesn't have a steam account but I'll set one up and then steamshare some of my games, and throw in a bluetooth keyboard/mouse plus an old ps4 controller of mine that I found in a giveaway pile on the side of the street a bit ago.

That Portal 64 demake we liked so much has been kiboshed by Valve: 'They have asked me to take the project down,' creator says (www.pcgamer.com)
Honestly, a bit surprised by this. It wasn't even on Steam. Hopefully switching to an open source SDK will get this back up.
