We work relentlessly in the backend and fully support #SQLite with #FerretDB.
We just released the new version of FerretDB – v1.10, and with it, the SQLite backend support is officially out of beta, on par with our PostgreSQL backend, and fully supported.
7500 stars on #GitHub in less than 2 years! Back when we started working on #FerretDB, we never would have imagined that we would get here so fast. Apparently, the world needs an #opensource alternative to #MongoDB. We are humbled. Thank you!
@ferretdb Just discovered that #FerretDB now also has support for #SQLite as backend. That's a game-changer - since Postgres was the reason I would not have considered FerretDB.
Once upon a time the first document database supported by #syslog_ng was #MongoDB, which inspired many interesting developments within syslog-ng. Recently #FerretDB, a fully #opensource MongoDB replacement was announced:
#FerretDB 1.0 has been announced
Ferret is a proxy that sits between your #mongodb drivers & a #postgres db converting mongo queries into postgres SQL and using PG for the persistence.
I am finding myself at a complete loss as to any practical reason why someone would want to use this. The ONLY case i can make for it is that it satisfies people who are zealous about open source licenses and aren't happy with Mongo's.
