When you start pondering how you could shorten it to appease Mastodon users.
And when you decide that it's much easier to add the #Long #LongPost #CWLong #CWLongPost filter-triggering hashtags and, if it's a post, a Mastodon-style long-post content warning in the summary.
Today I'm working on my Provisional Licence and trying to manage two Fediverse accounts; One Personal & One Professional. Read more about it on my Ko-Fi.
I finished Yohane the Parhelion: Numazu in the Mirage yesterday! I quite enjoyed it* both in terms of gameplay and story (which was sweet and appropriately emotional at the end). Despite not being a regular player of deckbuilding roguelites, I had a good time!
*other that not needing to ever hear Evil Ruby talk about Dia's toes ever again
This and the Yohane Metroidvania do make me long for a world where Love Live does more games on consoles & PC instead of the mobile world. These two are full-on console games with solid design and no scummy gacha microtransactions. Imagine if we got a story-centric Love Live non-AU game like that? (Like that idol RPG I daydreamed about on Tumblr once...)
(This is to say nothing about the Playstation port of the arcade rhythm game which, while definitely being old and only having µ's and Aqours and having its own monetization issues, is a ton of fun to play - I'd argue much more than SIF or SIFAS - and is still truckin' at least for now. Hopefully Squeenix would allow it to exist offline when they inevitably stop supporting it.)
I hope for a day when we'll have more games about the gals that let you play them on consoles and PC and not have to tap away at glass and put up with all the free-to-play mechanics to try to enjoy them.
My face when I spend minutes upon minutes trying to take good portrait pictures of @Juno Rowland and myself to show our cool outfits...
...even making sure they won't lead to another 10,000+-character #ImageDescription by having next to nothing around and behind us...
...only to remember I can't even post them because there's absolutely no way for me to conceal them from sensitive people on #Mastodon who require an #EyeContact #ContentWarning.
And maybe your FAQ should also mention that any post with more than 500 characters should both get a "content warning" CW: long and a #LongPost hashtag. Some people are quite sensitive when it comes to unusually long posts. Unusually for Mastodon anyway.
Like, everyone outside of Mastodon must issue a #CW if they use
bold type
italics
a code block
a bullet-point list
or anything like that because it irritates those who are still used to the #Fediverse only being old-school Mastodon. You know, just like #LongPosts with over #500Characters.
