That spider is a skin-changing humanoid, you're quite right. 🕷️ :blobcatshocked:
I am, in fact, fighting with a pitch-fork. I wanted a different cosmetic, but many of the quirky ones are for staves or axes, and so far this is one of the few I've found that work with 2-handed swords.
I still want #LOTRO to let us carry our shields on our backs when not in use, but apparently the mystery of that has been lost through the Ages...at least in this world.
@massivelyop two-handed clubs (I don't remember having seen anyone use one - even as a cosmetic weapon) in #LOTRO
Halberds are also a niche in this game, being limited in use to one single class (and only being an option, contrary to the staff for LMs or stone for RKs), but they see some play...
@massivelyop Not really shameful, but the Moria deed Blind Leaper in #LOTRO lead to very funny group suicides back in the days (it required to die several times in several pits without much of a hint)
Just a quick note to #LOTRO-ers. I've re-read, changed, corrected and etcetera'd my Anniversary guide.
Because stuff like this is so huge, there's always a chance I've missed things. If you spot typos, tpyos or stuff that's blatantly not accurate, please let me know.
@massivelyop I think that the main difference between the smoothness in #LOTRO 's progression servers and the rift around #WOW 's Classic is that LOTRO didn't make a "classic" experience and only gated content (plus a few options that eventually went live), so that the community didn't split around the differences of gameplay...
@massivelyop I don't like the "endgame" concept because what's endgame? level cap? raiding? at which tier? Are dailies endgame?
Plus, I like MMORPGs that are about the journey (#LOTRO, #TSW)
That said, I liked the #GW2 approach that let you experience some of the "endgame" content (mostly the PvP/WvW experience) while still lower level (I did most of my levelling there...)
@massivelyop hahaha, I've been playing #LOTRO 8 years and my main character is still over 25 levels and a good number of regions from 'endgame'. I don't think it that "should" is the right question. Endgame shouldn't be the only outcome worth reaching. Some want that (they like the big level numbers and shiniest gear) but there's more to an MMO than 'getting there'.
I struggle a bit in #FFXIV on my main character for content now, but I just play other characters, so it's fine.
