users ATM I'm using my own config which works with issues and I feel that one of the following projects might be better suited as they have lots of devs keeping everything working and up to date. So which would you consider best from this selection , or ??

I have been using and for a few weeks as my IDE. Is there any way to stop autocompletion/suggestions when typing a comment? For all comment lines, I want all the pop up things to just stop and let me type without suggestions and corrections. Is there any way to do that?

@teamtuck I don't use but intuitively, this is not a issue. I'd rather look into free-text completion engine. Like, disable basic buffer completion, maybe?

Is it just me, or does using make you feel like a ?

I get an embarrassing amount of pleasure from tuning my config and using it as a .

@lulu_powerful @frontend Me too. I started with , then tried , followed by . They’re all awesome and gave me a taste for what’s possible. was my favorite pre-config.

But I decided there is a lot going on that i don’t need and i want to know exactly what’s going on in my config. So i cloned kickstart.nvim, read every line of it before using it, snip, cut, fhrhuhfvhtfffggtgg, and am having a blast tailoring it to me.

My MacBook battery loves it.

Neovim v0.9.2 is now available

This is the first Neovim release since Bram Moolenaar passed away and the archival/deprecation of both null-ls.nvim and packer.nvim.

Is anyone running into any issues with this release (particularly if you use null-ls or packer)? How are the Neovim distros (eg - NvChad, AstroNvim, LazyVim, LunarVim, etc.) performing after the update?

I can’t remember if it was Pop!_OS, ubuntu, or both that have standardized on Nano as the default editor. Jokes about getting out of vim aside, I guess i should start learning how to use nano now. 😭

kkarhan,

@datenritter @frainfostudent people like @fuchsiii would rather point to and people like @fireship_dev / will recommend adding to it for ease of use but and work just fine if one needs to rarely change stuff...

Hi Fediverse,

if you are a / user and use it as your IDE, how do you manage your configuration? Are you doing everything from scratch by yourself, or are you using a distribution/script like , , , any other?

As of now, I use NeoVim but with my old VimScript style config from Vim. As some thinks broke, thinking about switching to a different way of managing my NeoVim configuration and probably switching to Lua for this, but am lazy doing everything by hand!
