A new #Indigenous #initiative set to begin this Saturday talks about the #significance of #communication & #storytelling 👍

The #free #ProfessionalTraining #program is called Bridge to Publishing: #Reclaiming the #IndigenousNarrative of #Atlantic #Canada 🙌

The #PilotProject will be held at #Asitulisk #Cultural Centre, near #Bridgewater . It will give #youth the opportunity to #learn their #OralTraditions and use them in publishing and storytelling.

@fedpagan I got back last night from a #reclaiming #witch #camp. A lovely five day weekend of community and magic. I find camps and gatherings to be great for (re)connection, and demonstrating another way of living with each other and with the planet.

I wonder if other #pagan folk have good experiences like these? Any favourite camps you recommend?

People are very tied to their language and don’t like change, especially when it #challenges a #PowerStructure . In #Winnipeg , Bishop Grandin, a symbol of #colonial power, is being #replaced by #languages of the #historically #oppressed : #Cree , #Ojibwe & #Métis . While this is precisely the point behind the change, it may make those uncertain about changing power structures uncomfortable.
