Not going to include a link, because a blatant BS artist like Ross Douthat doesn't deserve the traffic. But he's so shamelessly dishonest that he has to pretend that hardly anyone loves Taylor Swift's #TTPD so he can lecture her, at tedious old-man length, about "exhausting" her fans. Why the NYTimes expends valuable column space on this pissy, bilious, always-wrong fraud is a mystery to me. He's the 21st Century equivalent of the forgotten assholes who dismissed the Beatles as a passing fad.
Unapologetic #Swiftie that I am (hi, it's me...), Melanie and I are on a track-a-day walk through #TTPD. More later re: #TaylorSwift's ever striking lyricism, but #DownBad reminds me of what I wrote @OFBMag after one of my all time favorite albums, #folklore: the f-bombs only detract and are the clean version shows they aren't even necessary. #profanity#FoulLanguagehttps://ofb.biz/sa882
Im Hintergrund läuft Taylor Swifts neues Album. Die ruhigen Lieder gefallen mir insgesamt besser. Die sind, genau wie auf Folklore, meist von Aaron Dessner von The National produziert. Alles in allem gute Popmusik. Und die "Praktikantin" aus einem älteren Trööt nehme ich hiermit zurück 😃
There is a "ding-ding" sound that is played in the chorus for "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" that really reminds me of a sound effect from Sonic the Hedgehog.
Having now listened to #TTPD in full, I can say I feel exhausted by the journey. That album is at least 1 hour too long. It's no #CowboyCarter.
But great to see new music from Florence (that bit on the Florida! Track is, in my view, the high point of an album which feels mostly flat)
Bridge:
"So how much sad did you think I had, did you think I had in me?
How much tragedy?
Just how low did you think I’d go ‘fore I’d self implode?
‘Fore I’d have to go be free?
You swore that you loved, me but where were the clues?
I died on the altar waiting for the proof
You sacrificed us to the gods of your bluest days
And I’m just getting color back into my face
I’m just mad as hell cause I loved this place for
So long, London"
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is heartbreaking synthpop.
I'm so depressed, I act like it's my birthday every day
I'm so obsessed with him, but he avoids me like the plague (He avoids me like the plague)
I cry a lot, but I am so productive, it's an art (It's an art)
You know you're good when you can even do it with a broken heart
Soo I think I'm claiming these #TaylorSwift 11 songs:
~#TTPD [has to be good since it's also the album title]
~Down Bad [maybe a catchy & fun dance single?✨]
~So Long, London [we know that number 5 is deeeep💔]
~But Daddy I Love Him [expecting parallels to the Little Mermaid]
~Guilty as Sin? [maybe similar to "Slut!"?]
~I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) [because I've been there haha]
"tinta" is also Spanish, so these are pretty much the countries she will tour in the following months! What do you think this means? #taylorswift#ttpd#thetorturedpoetsdepartment
