I had an amazing week working with veterans and advocates. Bottom line up front - #veterans need help fixing a #STEM#scholarship program at the Department of Veteran Affairs. It's a great program but highly restrictive and it doesn't help everyone reach those STEM careers. How do I know that?

Sorry for the all caps rant to start this thread 👆 but I spend significant time advocating for #STEM inclusion. I'm also lucky to be part of an incredible research institution that supports my education with benefits.
But imagine being a woman veteran, when we know statistically across the country that women are underhired and underpaid even when they're given a chance. They're being rejected for this scholarship too, and they need it more than me.
