The middle class are extremely petty. The term is petite bourgeois where dreams of wealth clash with reality and any reminder that life isn't perfect is met with severe backlash. Having a cancer free party at 10:30--police, left your trash can out for two days--police, a foot of your car is parked in a no parking spot--police. All Karen's are middle class and now any POC whose wealth has grown tend not to discourage this excessive policing to keep their suburbia utopia. #middleclass#bourgeois
"C’est un monde complètement étranger. J’ai écrit il y a longtemps cette phrase, que je signe encore aujourd’hui : « Les bourgeois m’inspirent de la pitié. » Ce que je voulais et veux dire, c’est qu’au fond ils ne comprennent pas le monde réel, donc ils en savent moins que moi. ⬇️
Sur France3, un #bourgeois corse se plaint que le maire de sa commune ne fait pas de nouveaux forages pour trouver de l'eau, devant sa piscine bien pleine.
The current #Kolektiva#Drama is a perfect example of why I tried for years to convince people in the #IWW that #Volunteerism is a #Bourgeois#Fetish and paying people to do difficult/necessary work is a good thing, actually, and can encourage accountability without concentrating power (while also allowing the activist community to function more independently from the capitalists)
the circus that currently performs in finnish government is getting so out of hands that im just waiting for the day it just implodes in on it self like couple billionaires in a submarine.
In the pictures there’s a compact version of what Riikka Purras speech contained and what the vice chair of the largest opposition party SDP, Matias Mäkynen has to say about it.
i have to raise this one part from Purras speech: “Modern working class personnel are just as bourgeoisie as for example someone who has Masters of Science (technology) or small-scale entrepreneurs.”
The #liberal consensus post WWII, actually learned from #Marx, that a majority population of proletariat would lead to #socialism. #Proletariat is someone who owns nothing other than their children and the clothes on their back, maybe. So they went about ensuring we were a nation of people who owned things making the minority the proletariat class and the majority some form of petite #Bourgeois. The ruling class forgot their Marx and created a nation where the proletariat is quickly becoming the norm. Most of us can't afford a house, we rent, more and more forms of rent seeking builds every year. We own nothing our overlords do. This is the perfect recipe for a socialist revolution as Marx predicted and the liberal consensus tried hard to avoid.
