David Gilmour today announced his new album "Luck And Strange", to be released on September 6 via Sony Music. The first track from the album, "The Piper's Call", will be released this Thursday, April 25, following a world exclusive first play on the BBC Radio 2 "Breakfast Show".

Four years ago today, #DavidGilmour of #PinkFloyd put several of his guitars up for auction at Christie's in New York City. Over $21million went to a charity called 'Client Earth' which merges lawyers and environmental experts committed to combating the ravages of the global environmental crises.

#DavidGilmour released his self-titled solo album on this day 45 years ago. It was his first solo effort outside of #PinkFloyd. Today's feature song is actually a cover of a song he produced for #Unicorn on year earlier.
