2023 was an amazing year for Budgie Desktop and our organization. Time to dive into our State of the Budgie to recap our efforts in 2023 and the goals for 2024.
Budgie 10.8.2 has just been released! #Budgie 10.8.2 is the second minor release in the 10.8 series of our Budgie Desktop environment. This release features some bug fixes around the system tray, notifications, and a small improvement to Budgie Screenshot.
So I just though about the diversity in #desktopenvironments under #linux and structured them by underlaying GUI toolkits and libraries such as #qt, #gtk or #iced
I only included those with core applications (planned) and that are "modern" in a way I understand it.
There are plenty more windows managers and more, especially if you look for tiling types. But I don't see them as fully DEs like KDE or Xfce.
