The #eclipse was super fun; we’re glad we came. I got to sit in the right seat while my wife did all the flying and I managed comms. She’s become a HUGE fan of the #autopilot. #flyga#eclipse2024
My awesome wife is even more awesome: she passed her private pilot checkride today! Not without drama: with time running out and after three reschedules for weather, her DPE got covid yesterday. Unbelievably, she found another DPE who was available today (!), and she finished her ride, crushing it. #aviation#flyga
I’m usually the pilot flying and never get runway pics as I’m focused on other things just then. But yesterday my wife was the Pilot Flying, and I finally got one. #flyga#aviation#kmby#moberly#missouri
Flew over to OSH to visit friends holding our spots in Camp Scholler. The smoke from the Canadian wildfires made visibility quite poor at times, and a little shower pushed through while we were out to dinner, which cleaned the air quite a bit. I flew home IFR and upwind and had a lovely time of it. Excited to see everyone again! #flyga#flyifr#OSH23
The missus is going flying tomorrow morning, so I swung by the airport to top off the tanks because that’s the kind of husband I am. #flyga#PilotsOfMastadon
Today I flew four instrument approaches and a hold, in actual IMC. Some with the autopilot, some without, and a nice mix of GPS, ILS, and VOR approaches. Stayed ahead of the airplane. Feeling good. #flyga#flyifr#aviation
