En début d'après-midi, il ne pleuvait pas, alors petit tour sur les hauteurs et en forêt.

Vue depuis le pied d'un chêne dont le feuillage occupe en partie le ciel. Paysage de bocage clairsemé et de reliefs lointains, sous la grisaille et les nuages gris.
Village au pied d'un relief, entouré de bocage clairsemé, pâturages et forêts. Sur le relief à l'horizon, une barre de nuages de froidure très gris. Des fils de ligne HT barrent la partie supérieure à droite de l'image.
Vergers, prairies et forêts traversées par deux lignes électriques.

Monschau Castle in Monschau (northern Eifel area, Aachen city region) was first mentioned in a document in 1217. In the middle of the 14th century, it was expanded into a fortress. After it had fallen into disrepair, it was restored at the beginning of the 20th century. After the First World War until today, the castle served as a youth hostel.

A 3D lidar model of the wonderfully preserved fortified town of Neuf-Brisach in the Alsace region of France. Designed by the military architect Vauban it was his last major project started in 1698 for Louis XIV. It is now part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. #lidar #archaeology #fortifications
