Today on "Living the #Mastodon experience": On how someone from Europe ( @prahou ) makes a drawing, someone else from Europe ( @ParadeGrotesque ) makes a comment and I end up eating a kilo of #gelato in South America!

A true story ! 🍨 😋

Half a kilo of "Swiss chocolate" ice cream ( dark chocolate + mid sized solid dark chocolate chunks + nuts )

And half a kilo of "Banana split" ice cream ( banana + nuts + a lot of "dulce de leche") !

Today I discovered some shops that I didn’t dare hope existed in my small, provincial town:

1. A very decent music shop where I might buy my next electric guitar

2. A shop selling teff flour

3. A good #gelato place

All on the same city block, too!

Island Gelato Co. says recent flooding has seen the price of kumara reach record highs... but at the same time mishapen, outsized and over ripe Kumara are being dumped. So it started working with food producers to rescue the root vege and turned it into ice cold gold."
