@solidtrax It really is! 🫢️ Like many of the #bitwig #updates before it is packed with so many small #improvements and new #features that it feels pretty substantial when you dive in, right? Very cool! 🤓️

3/3 I feel like Linux has made massive #improvements since then. #gnome #gnomeshell for #mobile.

3 reasons to do small #improvements:

  1. Implementing a small improvement is like deploying a 1-line code change. It exposes systemic obstacles to change;
  2. Any successful improvement undermines the narrative that change isn't possible;
  3. Successful improvement builds momentum and makes the next improvement easier

The Open Build Service team has been working on the requested workflow redesign. Added are some new #improvements related to non-beta #users and the #support for Set Bugowner action. Looking at images on KBin is incredibly inneficient

As things are I have to click on the link, whitch directs you again to the individual post and then you have to click AGAIN to make the image full screen. Thats also IF the image is viewable from KBin at all. Some times you have to click a link to see an image that is posted else where. Minor anoyance but images are a large part...

Love how Erlang OTP 26 just decided to change something as fundamental as key-sorting…

The HBO Max to Max transition was a quintessential example of how NOT to handle a service/app upgrade. First, the HBO Max app stops working, telling you to install the new Max app. This means of course you will have to uninstall the old app manually from your TV to regain the space. Then you have to install the new app and get it into a visible position, and discover -- wheee! -- that you have to login all credentials again from scratch on all devices and reassociate all devices/TVs. And when you're done with all this what do you have? An app that looks essentially identical to the old one, except it says "Max" instead of "HBO Max" and is blue instead of purple. Talk about amateurs.

Plenty of things to discuss in this text about social media...

"If we want more people to enjoy what we believe are the benefits of something like Mastodon, it’s on us to make it delicious and convenient and multi-textured and fun instead of trying to shame people into eating their soysage and unsalted soup."

@juuhaa I agree. There is no shame in copying the Quote and Thread UX of twitter.

It works. And that’s that.

As for the global search to avoid trolling: There could be a private / public setting that keeps your posts and account from appearing (defaults to private)

That would also work.

Software development is a lot about improving concepts. And knowing that you are not right all the time.
