Born in a Pennine village next to the moors, the distinctive curlew cry is an evocative sound of my childhood. If you’re out for a walk on the moors keep your dog on a lead. Curlews may be nesting. xx

Yesterday I activated two 4 point #sota summits in the #pennines. The first was the popular Pen-y-ghent G/NP-010 (part of the #3peaks circuit). A short route this time from Silverdale Road 🚗. Rain and strong winds at the top so HF kit stayed in the bag. #hamradio#amateurradio
