H2 offshore production will hasten quicker than expected:
-Offshore power to H2 is more efficient close to the source
-Electricity transmission increase is linear: more power, more cables
-H2 transport can scale faster by using existing pipelines and increasing pressure
-Depleted gas field can serve as H2 storage
I'm not and yes I think #Lithium batteries are also no option.
Granted, there are sufficient #PowerToX technologies that work, regardless if #Hydrogen or even better handleable and much more energy-dense and storeable: #Methanol.
Also #Solarthermal power exists and it's trivial as it uses the economies of scale you get from any thermal powerplant - nuclear or fossil or geothermal.
Mixing diesel and hydrogen provides big cuts in emissions.
Existing engine designs can be modified to allow hydrogen injection. This is interresting because it might take decades for EV technology to replace diesel engines in many industries.

Am Epex Spot kostete eine MWh letzten Sonntag gegen 14 Uhr -500€.
Der tiefste Preis, der erreicht wurde war 2009 mit -500,20€. Anschließend wurde auf Lobby drängen eine unterste Preisgrenze eingeführt. Diese liegt bei -500€.
Im Sommer mit PV könnten theoretisch auch noch niedrigere Preise erreicht werden.
@TheDoctor512 das macht aber #PowerToX - Anlagen richtig profitabel, weil die Effizienzverluste von #Wasserstoff und #Ethanol-Vollsynthese bei praktisch minimalen Energiekosten vernachlässigbar werden!
