Went to Eddystone Lighthouse this morning, then to Little Blue Lake, can confirm it is blue. And did a nice short walk through the Myrtle forests in the Blue Tiers. After that we visited a dairy/fromagerie; and Halls Falls (photos of that on the photog.social account).
Obtained cheese, bread, honey, visited a lighthouse (took the tour), saw a giant penguin letterbox, found a very furry echidna then ate said bread, cheese and honey.
We went for a pleasant 90 min cruise on the Lady Nelson this afternoon. I pulled on some ropes to raise/lower sails as well, because what pirate wouldn’t partake in sailing the ship?
Getting dinner at the Nubeena RSL.
Some kids are playing pool.
The barman is very nice but could be nicely decorated with a tin foil cap (my use of a card to pay got me a friendly notice that we need to use cash so the govt wouldn’t take it away)
If you’re in to geology, there’s a visible unconformity on the eastern side, exposed and easily seen. Is there junction on metamorphic rock below, and limestone layers above.
We then proceeded to Richmond, saw the famous bridge, ate a Scollop Pie, bought cakes and chocolates (the essentials) and was interrupted by this noisy Variety charity Bash vehicle playing a siren down the Main Street. #tassie2023
