I'm the creator of @Bestof or !BestOf and I've been trying to grow the community for the last couple of weeks. It was an uphill battle as I could only get 5-10 members every day, sometimes even much less....
So I was messing with the CSS for my own magazine, and I've somehow managed to bricked it. When you try to go to /m/internet_funeral, you'll see nothing. I've tried to change it back, but I can't access anything....
Have you ever been able to login? I had the same issue with Lemmy World and it was because I forgot to verify my email address, it doesn't tell you the issue you just get an endless spinning circle.
Interested in getting a feel for what people may be likely to do IF reddit reverses their decision regarding API access, or reduces access fees to a reasonable level and 3rd party apps remain sustainable....
Seeing stuff about reddit being posted to 10 different technology boards, plus reddit-themed ones, then reposted further just makes this whole idea a mess. Reposts have to be consolidated into a single comment thread.
Agreed the cross posting is much more visible and irritating. Not sure it will ever be resolved as it is a fundamental architecture design of the Fediverse. I would hate to see another closed source site be the main alternative but Squabbles is growing fast and with the new app looking so good it may accelerate its growth. Time will tell.
Yeah I'm not sure what the link issue is I'm trying to figure it out myself as that is not the link I have entered. The link should be without quotes "kbin.social/m/skeptic@lemmy.world" see the attached screenshot. Not sure why the link is being translated from what it is entered as.
Are you using the PWA? I've been experiencing a lot of 503 errors but it appears to be a PWA only issue. For example I couldn't open this thread in the PWA but I copied the link address for the PWA for this thread and pasted it into Chrome and the thread opened just fine. This has been a recurring issue.
Fuck Reddit u̶p̶v̶o̶t̶e̶ boost party!
The apps have all gone offline, welcome aboard to all the other refugees, fuck /u/spez!
Reddit Migration
The real #redditmigration starts the 30th or the 1st, I hope lemmy and kbin are ready for the traffic!
I'm SO excited that my community is finally growing organically! I just need to get it off my chest.

Is OceanGate in trouble for not using a good submarine to see the Titanic?

Reddit activated a word filter that whenever you say "fuck spez", your comment won't show up for anyone else. I just tested it on ModCoord. they're also deleting spez memes from the subs they nuked lol
r/ModCoord: The admins in charge of demodded subreddits are mass-removing images of Huffman previously shared on them...

The fediverse isn't going to work if top pages consist of the same link 10x reposted.

I was wondering when they'd get round to the smaller subreddits

Seeing 503 errors on kbin this morning -- but on the positive side, growth has been awesome!
The Sunday morning before the subs going dark:...
I keep getting HTTP 503 errors when trying to go to kbin.social. Is this common for anyone else?
Anyone else keep getting 503 errors? Ill refresh like 3 times and itll pop back up, but then I click on a thread and it goes down again.
