@0xjessel Is there a way to turn of push notifications from "a fediverse user liked your post" the way you can turn off pushes from people who don’t follow you?
I’ll be giving a talk at QCon about getting Threads off the ground with a short runway last year. Would love to meet anyone attending, or in the Tech Threads community in London!
> Along the way, we took every shortcut in the book to enable the bare minimum product experience we needed, whilst maintaining Instagram’s high bar for craft and simplicity.
This Fediverse sharing thing is neat but now I have questions.
Can you block a Mastodon account from your Threads account? If not, is this a safety issue?
If a Mastodon account replies to your post, do you see it on Threads? If not, can someone add replies that you don’t exactly love but also don’t see here so don’t know they exist?
as everyone is trying out fediverse, today is a good reminder that threads support rel=me link verification -- another open web standard we adopted last year.
this is useful right now because you can't see fediverse replies to your posts on threads yet. so if you use a mastodon alt account to reply to your threads posts, setting this up proves you are the owner of the mastodon and threads account.
