A telling lie from Mike Pompeo.
The difference between (1) a secret, illegal action to manipulate an upcoming election and (2) an action within the president’s legal authority carried out using proper procedure isn’t hard to grasp.
The false equivalence is core to the attack on Constitutional democracy. Pretend different things are the same, and that someone you don’t like doing something bad means you doing something bad is good—even if you have to make it up—anything can be whatabouted away.

I had the grid 99% filled in before I determined exactly how the grid specifically wanted its gimmick relayed. I was under the impression that it was a rebus situation until the absolute last possible opportunity and can't decide if I'm more annoyed with myself for it taking an extra minute to grasp or the constructor for doing an annoying yet begrudgingly impressive thing. Today's solve music was Kubelka's 'We’re Gonna Do It Like This Now' (She Sells, 1999).
