Once again, thanks to everyone who boosted and donated yesterday. Thanks to you, my doctor's appointment came out OK, and I was able to get everything squared away.

I am scheduled to get paid tonight, so there should be no issues at least until the end of the month, when my July COBRA medical premium payment of $580 comes due. I have been working to find another provider that doesn't charge nearly as much, but still to no avail.

Welp, I have a situation ongoing.

The debit card that I use for my disability payment deposits is set to expire at the end of this month, and I have put in for a new card that should arrive in the mail tomorrow.

The problem is, they cancelled and deactivated my current card, and thusly I can't use it at the ATM to withdraw money to pay my rent or any other bills.

What we have here is a battle for the top of the pyramid of the overall capitalist ruling system between two cliques of power:

The "neoliberal" wing that focuses on "diversity" and openness to bring people of color and secular/more openminded folk into the system of profit accumulation;

and

The White Christian Nationalist/Fundamentalist wing who prefer a much more austere and brutal form of accumulating their profits.

There is some degree of overlap, but that is the main fault line.

I still am in need of $470 in order to pay off my medical insurance premium, and it's due on Wednesday. I have to get it paid in order to retain my medical benefits, which affects my doctor appointments, my prescriptions, and other things.

By the time the clock hits midnight my time, I will have only 48 hours to find $600 to pay off my monthly COBRA medical premium, or I will have my medical benefits suspended on October 1st.

That would really break me financially, because I would have to pay way more in co-pay for my doctor's appointments and prescriptions. Plus, I scheduled myself to get the latest COVID vax & flu shot in 2 weeks.

Still waiting on my appeal to get Federal Disability benefits; but I am still collecting disability payments from my Long-Term disability insurance.

So far, so good on that.

I'm still working on getting an alternative insurance provider to replace COBRA so I don't have to keep begging every month for $600. Gotten close, but nothing so far. I'm open for suggestions. (Reasonable and respectable, that is.)

OK....let me tell you about that excellent news that I have been promising.

As you all know, my medical benefits have been covered mostly by my former job benefit plan, via COBRA since I had to leave my job due to my disability. It was costing me nearly $600 per month to maintain my benefits; that was the principal source and main drain on my income during my leave.
