OK...I just had a very interesting doctor's appointment, and it has a bit of good news regarding my disability payment situation with my insurance company.

While inside with my doc, I asked her if she had received the letter put forth by my insurance company regarding their "independent review" of my situation which they used to justify cancelling my benefit payments back in January. She said that she had heard nothing, and then fetched the office secretary to attempt to retrieve the letter...

Thanks to all of you for helping me finish off my rent; it is paid off.

However, as long as I have to wait for my appeal to restore my disability benefits to be resolved, I still have NO income other than crowdfunding, and the major end-of-the-month bills are fast coming in. Therefore, the solicitations have to continue. Wish otherwise, but stuff happens.

Once again, I have no income other than crowdfunding because my insurance company decided against the wishes of my personal doctor to discontinue my biweekly disability payments last January. I am currently awaiting their decision on my appeal of that action; as well as awaiting resolution on my application for Federal/state disability benefits. I cannot return to active work due to my recurrent medical condition, as ordered by my doctor.

A brief note on the cable bill due on March:

I only have to pay at a minimum the past due balance of $200 by March 4th in order to avoid interruption of my cable/Internet/land phone services. Of course, paying the full due amount of $643 would be the most ideal.

However, if I don't pay the past due by that date & my service gets disconnected, I would have to pay out the full $643 bill, PLUS the total amount for regular services for the subsequent month ($440)...

...PLUS a reconnection fee, before my service could be restored. That would run me to nearly $1,200, which I can't afford. And, those services aren't just for me, but for everyone in the household, so I'd have total Hell to pay if the $200 isn't paid by March 6th.

Rape and sexual assault are already crimes as they should be, and abusing children is certainly horrific. Legal and consensual sexual exchange between consenting and willing adults, on the other hand, should not be the business of any state, outside of ensuring mutual consent and full legal protection from abuse and exploitation.
