Idk where you’re getting the nowhere does info, unless it is a regional thing somehow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a restaurant not devein things, and only a couple times have I seen people leave them in for home cooked stuff
Morrowind: Several factions competing for power try and use the player as a way to get on top without getting their own hands dirty. Half the main quest line is running around doing mundane stuff that has less to do with proving you’re a chosen one and more to do with proving you’re a good little bootlicker who won’t disrupt the status quo when they hand you the glove of god slapping.
I was traveling internationally about a month ago. I was able to opt out of a face scan while leaving the US, but when I left the other country I got scanned with no apparent opt out option. I’m sure they’re already feeding cameras around the airport to facial recognition and soon if not already to some black box mystery AI tech.
I’m probably going to get facial surgery in the next couple years. What happens if my face gets flagged as being a different person if I’m fucked off in another country? This is going to be a mess
On one hand I’m glad it sounds like it won’t be too much of an issue for me to get things updated. On the other how is this any safer if an actual intruder can just get a picture update anyway? They already have a human compare my face and ID so someone getting to the facial scan point presumably already looks a bit like me. Thank you for the insight
I will die on this hill I legitimately like Mr. Mayor and Picard better than the new one. It took me like 4 tries to get through the new one it is so slow and full of itself. I’m not sure what the line is for me between good slow and being a slog but the new one is so hard for me to pay attention to. I’d rather scroll through spaceship still shots with some space music in the background
I couldn’t get through the book either… Like I said I’m not sure what that line is for me because I’ve definitely watched and read slow things but Dune can be so off the charts slow it hurts me. LotR is slow and half the movies are spent watching people running through fields but both the books and movies captured my attention (I know this is an imperfect comparison just first example I thought of). I’m excited you all can enjoy the new movie but I’ll take the old one
