In other words, what's a song that you can listen 100 times back to back and still enjoy it. For me, it's Door by Caroline Polachek; the song manages to be the perfect balance between catchiness and entrancement to not get tiring....
It's based on the 000 C-16 body style, but the label literally just says "custom guitar 154/200". It was part of a limited run around 2005, when I bought it new. I love it!...
I apologize if anyone has posted this before, or if I'm missing an entire community for this purpose. But if not, what communities have you made and what are they intended for?
For me, I continually watch and listen to new music and guitarists - If i practice the same things over and over and over every day, I will slowly lose interest in playing. Often I find that when i learn something half decent but hit a wall, if i come back to it in 6 months, I can break through that wall easier. It’s all about...
I got to ask, with all those signatures on there, do you actually play the guitar? If I had a guitar signed by my heroes, I would be deathly afraid that my sweat would wipe away the signatures
The sign of a thriving guitar community is fools posting photos of their unmodded incredibly popular guitars, so it's an honor to be the first to share this photo of a JMJM here :P It's not even the more desirable model, it's a 2020, and I don't particularly get along with the ToM bridge, but it's mine and I love it all the...

Are you utilizing the PowerBI Report Server to be fully on prem, or do you mean your data sources are on-prem and you just utilize a gateway to communicate?
Hello! I hope I am not off topic, this is literally my first day here (ok, maybe I should wait and know the community a bit better but I 'll try to be slightly bolder...if it's not ok just let me know). I understand that by choice there are no super focused communities to avoid an excessive fragmentation. So I wonder: is this...
The way it was explained to me is that the very first time a user searches from their own instance for a community on another instance and clicks it, it federates one server to the other, enabling all of the commenting, subscribing, etc. You were probably the first one from your instance to search for that, and now the link is created and everyone can.
Is there any concern about posts going viral and spiking bandwidth cost? Kind of a ‘victim of my own success’ kinda thing. Also, I could imagine a bad actor DDoS-ing an instance just to drive up network costs.
A wah pedal is at the top of my wishlist right now. I have been borrowing a crybaby from my friend and it sounds great, but I am wondering if I could get a similar effect with a cheaper wah pedal. Do you feel like the high price of a crybaby is worth it, or do they all sound the same?
I would say the number one determining factor is your own ears. Make a trip to the shop and if you can get a great sound out of a cheaper pedal, than by all means go for it. There absolutely is a lot of cork sniffing and/or snake oil salesmanship in guitar pedal markets, and you’d be shocked at what some of the cheaper pedals are able to achieve through a good amp.
I bought a 4070Ti for $1k and I deeply regret it. Not because I can't afford it, but because I let my want of gaming at 120 fps overpower my ethics of enabling a company to get away with these prices. It's definitely a regret I have.
If I registered at lemmy.world, is it possible to still comment on a thread at say lemmy.ml? The way Lemmy works right now is you search a community in your instance for it to then get shown, so you need to first discover that community from elsewhere. With that in mind, what are some growing communities that you discovered that could get some more love?

Any guitar pedal communities on Lemmy?
Kind of a meta question but are there any pedal focused communities on Lemmy or should that kind of stuff get posted here while the community grows?
