Can’t reply directly to @OldGreyTroll because of that “language” bug, as well. This is an interesting argument. I would imagine that the AI does not have the ability to follow plagiarism rules. Does it even credit sources? I’ve seen plenty of complaints from students getting in trouble because anti cheating software flags their original work as plagiarism. More importantly I really believe we need to take a firm stance on what is ethical to feed into chat gpt. Right now it’s the wild west.
More than 20 percent of Republicans surveyed said certain criminal charges against former President Trump have made them more likely to support him in the 2024 election, according to a new Ipsos poll released Thursday.
How is reddit post protest, did it really win over protesters? Did the ones who left make a dent? Or like all things before, did it ultimately do nothing?
I’ve been adding and blocking communities through the browser since I joined. None of the apps currently seem to be able to add or block communities from other instances flawlessly just yet. I am enjoying watching this whole work in progress that is Lemmy though.
If you block EA’s account a little block banner will appear over all their games in your searches. You still have to see them but they’re easier to ignore.
This cut is called a pear (or teardrop) and was a commission for a co-worker. I was still learning the techniques for taking photos/videos of stones so this isn’t the best quality shot. However, when this stone was in the outdoors with sunlight, it absolutely showed off a ton of red fire.
I’ve been on a medical LOA since last year and tomorrow I go back to work and I keep thinking about how almost all my coworkers I knew are gone and processes have changed. Also that if I do something wrong I might injure myself again and be right back where I was a year ago (I have been cleared for full job duties by my...
My credit card expired on the first and I have a very expensive dental appointment next week. I’m watching my mailbox like a hawk and praying that the new card will get here in time. It’s my fault since I most likely threw the original replacement out thinking it was junk mail.
I’m relatively new to magic and I’ve been enjoying all the various tribes/types/groups/themes you can build around. I like that you can build a cat deck or a dragon deck or a crab deck or an angel deck or a vehicle deck and all work with lots of options. What’s your favourite theme and what are some of your favourite cards...
I think it depends on whether or not you are building a standard vs commander deck. Since commander decks are larger it can get more complicated trying to build a full theme deck with some of the more obscure creature types. That being said you can’t go wrong with a cat deck.
There is no options yet for Single Sign On in the Fedverse as there is no one single instance/platform to rule them all. You sign on to your instance and through that you can visit other Fedverse instances/communities by searching from within your instance. Right now since Lemmy and Kbin and it’s associated apps are so young the ability to visit other Fedverse platforms is not yet fully available so the abilities of your instance may be limited.
Many news apps also have this issue: when I follow links for some time, basically surf the fediverse, it is awkward to return "home": you have to traverse your entire journey backwards. It would be nice to have the taskbar at the bottom all the time, maybe configurable or with auto-hide. Or maybe I am missing something....
Spiritfarer gave me a small existential crisis at the end. Edith Finch was heartbreaking but hopeful. House of Fata Morgana was achingly beautiful storytelling.

Two authors sued OpenAI, accusing the company of violating copyright law. They say OpenAI used their work to train ChatGPT without their consent.
