Three Meads Bottled and Labeled! (beehaw.org)
We semi-recently got a corker which has let us move a bunch of our meads out of carboys and into bottles (and then boxes). It’s extremely fun to be able to pull out a corked, labled bottle of mead at a gathering, just an extra bit of pizazz....

[Roll of Law] The ORC License: Worse than the OGL (youtu.be)
I saw this posted on Mastodon. It’s an interesting listen. If you were thinking about using the ORC license, it may give you pause.
Tried to do one of those coffee youtuber slow mo shots with my Robot this morning. (youtu.be)
Somehow my 4 year old phone’s camera doesn’t look as nice. A complete mystery.
Fresh batch of limoncello and lemon peel powder. (lemmy.ca)
Second try at making limoncello; the peels were infused for 8 weeks in a locally distilled 45% gin. Used a coffee filter to filter out any impurities, and I think I trapped too much of the oils… leading to a crystal-clear liqueur, rather than the cloudy-neon-yellow I was going for. Oh well. Next time I’ll get actual...

How to backsweeten naturally?
I’m following a simple video on YouTube which covers yeast starting, sanitization and setting up the mead....
Any experience running short games for teens?
Cross posting on a few ttrpg communities, hopefully that is alright!...

Gonzo Madness! (slrpnk.net)
Got a physical copy of Anomalous Subsurface Environment by Patrick Wetmore and it is such a treat. The mega dungeon has so many wacky elements but they all fit an internal logic that feels very cogent. Anyone run this guy before? What did you think?
How many RPG books are too many?
I just had a moment where I downsized my RPG book collection. Do you ever weed out your collection? I find myself becoming a bit of a headless chicken, sometimes more interested in what the promise is that a book might hold, rather than diving in deep into the ones I already have. This superficial engagement with many books I...
WALLET STATIONS - Video walk through of pocket sized, die drop, location generator! (www.youtube.com)
Ithaquas Bane, a youtuber that focuses on solo-rpgs, tools, and print-and-play games has done a very cool walkthrough of my Wallet Stations micro die drop generator. He's previously also covered a couple other generators I've released....
Zero Aged Filtered Strawberry Mead (beehaw.org)
I plan to do a full write-up about this mead and brew once I go through the backsweetening/balancing process, but I thought this was interesting enough to share as is....
Peach Strawberry Dry Mead (feddit.nl)
Made this about a year ago and it has been aging pretty well. About 12% ABV. I think it still has a slight off-flavour, but that's probably due to not using the best honey.
The flaw with Mark of the Odd games
Hey all, games like Into the Odd, Electric Bastionland, Mausritter, Cairn, etc. All use Chris McDowall's elegant 'stats as health' concept....
Game System Recommendations
I thought it might be nice to set up a thread in which we can recommend game systems to one another. What do you like? Why? Give us a quick blurb about a game you like and why you think others might like it. Maybe call out if you think it would be good for absolute beginners or folks new to the OSR/NSR. Oh and the genre too. If...
A basic mead primer
So you’ve never made mead before, or you’re curious what it is....
