You can use both. All depends on what kind of texture you like if I’m not mistaken.

There’s an option in Windows settings (advanced system properties, near where you change page file settings) to disable auto restart and actually show/log the stop code. Disable the auto reboot, fire up something like Furmark to stress the GPU and PSU and see what happens

Any tips for switching Hypervisor from Hyper-V to Proxmox?

I’m thinking about making some changes to my home server to make it a little more robust and let me do some cool new things with it (like actually trust it for backing up data to with NextCloud, replicating VMs or data across sites, etc). I’m just looking for any advice people might have for this process to migrate...

The wiki is all I used to move. I exported to vhdx, qemu-img convert to qcow2, qm importdisk into some premade VMs. As for VM settings they were all Debian VMs from an old HyperV install.

One of the problems is wages. A lot of state/county jobs, say grade 8s, offer very low wages and right now private sector around the state recently bumped up wages 2+ dollars an hour (manufacturing/packaging/warehouse type jobs) in preparing for a hike in minimum wage. State jobs still haven’t accounted for it.

So I like to sit in on town halls, all employee meetings, whatever the fuckin big cheese decides to brand their shit. I’m a contractor and usually have no business being there but I blend in, work very hands on and after a short time business forget I’m not just a worker so I get told to do a lot of things I don’t have to do and sometimes it’s fun to follow orders.

One day I questioned a site director when he gave the old “no one wants to work anymore, this generation blah blah blah”. I asked him if he invested (which he obviously did) and if he would continue to invest with a broker who wasn’t making him any money. Broker is getting paid. You aren’t losing money. But you aren’t making money. Balance even goes up a bit but the broker just takes more and you get the same old same old.

He didn’t answer the question. It’s rhetoric that shows an incredibly lazy perspective and every business that echoes it should be called on it immediately.

I don’t contact there anymore. Place was called Mallinkrodt and if you follow the news you’ll know how lovely their reputation is.
