Yes, the compression is bad, but you can’t tell me that the plane isn’t literally exploding right now. Also the vacuum cleaner looks off, but on second glance maybe it’s fine? I’m not sure.

Ah yes, true. But it is a whole year, so you’d only need to login once a year.

And what would be a situation where you have to enter a phone number? I only know it’s optional for account recovery.

What I always do is I have my yellow belt production that outputs into a chest which is then used for red belts. Then if you upgrade that chest to a yellow chest, the yellow belts from your trash slots are automatically put into it, you don’t even need to set a filter.

But yes, if you are using bots you need a circuit condition so it doesn’t use all of the items in the chest. To do that you only need a singular cable though, you directly connect the chest to the red belt inserter. Still the option I would recommend. Looks really clean.

I haven’t used a lot of the sorceries yet, so probably that, plus Dexterity. Really curious about that scaling system for the DLC that they mentioned.

Thanks for the long comment! I think our confusion in some way came from the fact that countering a spell and countering it’s ETB isn’t the same thing. Now that I think about it, if you counter a creature spell it also negates the ETB because the creature doesn’t enter, right? Guess we did that wrong too.

Yeah, that’s what I thought too. But it would be nice to make it work somehow. Also, what do you think about something like this (-1/-1 counters)?

Factorio 2 for the peaceful player

I’m one of the persons who likes to play factorio without the aliens and the pressure that comes with them. I’ve been drooling at the weekly blog entries showing the coming factorio 2 and have wondered if it’s going to be possible to play without the aliens. I haven’t seen mention of whether they will be required other...

Natürlich sind die Modelle nicht grundsätzlich schlecht oder „böse“ (Editierung: oder Diebstahl nach deutschem Recht. Wir können es auch anders nennen, das ist aber m.M.n. nicht wirklich relevant). Es geht geht eher darum, dass sie sehr stark auf Kunstwerken basieren, bei denen die Künstler explizit gegen diese Verwendung sind ihrer Werke sind. Dazu kommt noch der aktuelle Trend in der Industrie, dass Jobs gestrichen werden, da generative KI das ja günstiger genauso gut könne. Diese beiden Punkte kombiniert sind eben einfach scheiße. Wahrscheinlich sieht das Ganze in ein paar Jahren dann auch anders aus, wenn die Technik-Brudis hoffentlich endlich das Interesse verloren haben und Firmen den Wert von menschlicher kreativer Arbeit etwas mehr verstanden haben.

Meinetwegen ist es rechtlich gesehen kein Diebstahl, ich habe hier einfach das im Angelsächsischen viel verwendete “AI art is theft” übersetzt.

Es geht mir auch eher um die Idee dahinter.

Meine Darstellung der Thematik war natürlich recht einseitig, klar gibt es auch gute Seiten. Und ich meinte auch nicht, dass KI hoffentlich irgendwann verschwinden wird, sondern dass wenn der Rummel um das Thema etwas abgeflacht ist, KI hoffentlich einen Platz in der Industrie (und Gesellschaft) gefunden hat, sodass sie Künstler unterstützt und nicht im Existenzkampf mit ihnen steht. Meine Aussage mit „Wertschätzung kreativer Arbeit“ war vielleicht etwas hochgestochen, das hier ist was ich damit meinte. Natürlich geht’s am Ende trotzdem nur ums Geld.

Ich finde nur, dass die aktuellen Probleme, die KI-Kunst mit sich bringt, nicht einfach ignoriert werden sollten. Auch wenn es diese Probleme in zehn Jahren vielleicht nicht mehr gibt (was ich zumindest teilweise für sehr unwahrscheinlich halte).
